ABOUT ALIK NAYAN GHOSH

Hi, I\'m Alik Nayan Ghosh, a waste management professional with a passion for creating sustainable solutions. My journey began six years ago when I visited a waste landfill in Kolkata as an architect and was moved by the environmental degradation I witnessed. Since then, I\'ve dedicated my career to waste management, working with both non-profit and for-profit organizations to make a difference. Currently as a Manager - Delivery & Compliance at Ecoex, I have developed successful strategies for ensuring Extended Producers\' Responsibility (EPR) fulfillment by Producers, Importers & Brand Owners (PIBOs) of Plastic Packaging. I have a track record of managing EPR project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics while building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Before my current role, I was a Specialist at Karo Sambhav, where I developed and implemented a strategic roadmap for e-waste collection from households, bulk consumers, and home channels in the Eastern States of India. I built a team of 12 State coordinators to oversee e-waste collection center operations and ensured regulation compliance by all suppliers. As a Project Coordinator at Saahas, I created CSR project proposals, conducted various waste audits, and designed the Waste Management Center. I also conducted various awareness programs and trained housekeeping staff and maids on the handling of sorted waste and disposing of segregated waste responsibly. My previous experience as a Project Architect at Habcon Engineers involved creating conceptual and sanction drawings of residential buildings, collaborating with engineers and contractors to ensure the project was executed within the set budget and timeline, and providing post-construction support to clients. I am now looking to continue making a difference in the field of waste management, contributing to creating a cleaner and healthier planet for future generations.
