ABOUT ALI HADIZADEH
I am a co-founder of ByteShape, where we develop automated quantization and compression tools to accelerate deep learning inference and training, with a focus on LLMs. Previously, I was a Senior Scientist at 1QBit and its spin-off, Irreversible, where I was responsible for designing efficient deep learning frameworks for infernce and training of generative AI, particularly diffusion models. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and the Vector Institute, where I pioneered GOBO, one of the first post-training quantization methods for transformers, and later advanced it with Mokey. My work bridges cutting-edge research and system-level engineering to make modern AI faster, lighter, and easier to deploy at scale.
