Vanta STEM is an organisation dedicated to changing the narrative around race representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), established in 2020. Since it\'s inception my role has diversified to include various competencies: Directing operations and project management Website design and marketing (vantastem.com) Communications lead and outreach to universities and corporates Public speaking and guesting at events, panels and conferences Event organisation and managementSome of our key highlights include launching the \"STEMinism - Equity in STEM\" podcast, where I serve as a co-host, guest coordinator, audio engineer, podcast producer and marketing specialist. In 2023 we held our annual Black Excellence event at the Science Museum Lates during Black History Month UK; this years theme being \'Music\'. I was invited to be a keynote speaker at the Elevate Kingston 3rd year anniversary and am currently writing a book aimed at \'Accelerating Careers in STEM\' for 3rd year undergraduate, post-grad and early careers professionals.

Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Scientist (CSci) with a forensic science background, spanning industries from marine & energy, oil & gas, polymers, specialty chemicals and regulatory frameworks.I provide technical direction on complex insurance claims involving marine and energy organisations, advising shipowners, operators, charterers, P&I clubs, asset managers, underwriters and legal teams worldwide.Through root-cause investigations into cargo and fuel disputes, polymer and coating failures, and other large insurance losses, I combine technical rigour with commercial judgement.
