   Teach For Lebanon is a Lebanese Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that aims to eliminate educational inequality in Lebanon while fostering youth leadership and promoting civic engagement. Teach For Lebanon believes that the foundation of a strong society is good education, and that good education demands excellent teachers. Unfortunately, in areas of high educational need all around Lebanon, students do not benefit from this opportunity. Duties and responsibilitiesStrategic and business planning• Founded Teach For Lebanon and partnered with the global network Teach For All that currently operates in 19 countries around the world.• Put in place the strategy and plan for achieving the NGO’ s objectives being eliminating educational inequality while fostering youth leadership and promoting civic engagement.Business management• Solicited support and buy in of prestigious professional service and communication firms that offered in kind support and pro bono work.• Negotiated and partnered with iconic educational institutions including American University of Beirut, Lebanese American University and University of Balamand.• Designed and executed a funding strategy aiming to reach out to independent local donors and Lebanese Diaspora. Approached and wrote proposals to international donors to support and expand the program across Lebanon.• Raised more than in the last 2 years. The funds came from businesses and individuals in Lebanon, the United States and the UK.• Managed budget planning, financial forecasting and financial monitoring in consultation with Teach For Lebanon auditors and the Board of Trustees.Public service reform • Conducted a due diligence of the education sector in Lebanon; presented the findings report and the business case.• Approached by the Ministry of Education after one year of operating to be involved in educational reform at public schools around Lebanon.
