Assist Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Director/General Counsel with building productive, collaborative relationships on day to day employee relations operations.• Phone screen and schedule in-person interviews for potential candidates with Human Resources and hiring managers.• Run extensive pre-employment background and reference checks with a focus on criminal and MVR history.• Collect, verify, process and organize onboarding paperwork, including confidential I-9 identifications and W-4.• Responsible for administering benefits, 401(k) contribution structure, health, life, dental, vision insurance into Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and MetLife portals. • Process and maintain all vacation, float holidays and sick leave for full time employees.• Work closely with Accounting Assistant Manager assisting with terminations, employee status changes and PTO submissions for payroll purposes.• Assist Human Resources Director/General Counsel with legal research and gather discovery for current open cases.• Ensure all Human Resources and legal paperwork received is scanned and stored both electronically and on the employee\'s paper file.• Maintain and edit confidential employee information via DMS database.• Responsible for verification of employment for current, terminated employees and 1099 independent contractors.• Assist in various audits to include gathering information such purged employee files, active files, legal documentation and medical records. • Being the second point of contact for all general HR inquiries, administration and correspondence.
