About Alicia B. Sears
I believe AI and intelligent automation create value only when people are enabled to succeed with them. That belief shapes how I approach AI transformation—focusing on adoption, capability, and trust so technology investments translate into durable business outcomes.I currently serve on the Emerson Enterprise AI Center of Excellence, co‑leading the pillars of Change Management, Training, and Communications. In this role, I help shape how AI initiatives are introduced, understood, and embraced—pairing enterprise AI efforts with learning‑led enablement, clear communication, and thoughtful change leadership. In parallel, I am on the Flow Controls Business Unit AI Committee and serve on the Strategic Product Business Unit AI Review Board, partnering with leaders across functions to evaluate AI use cases, align initiatives to business priorities, and promote responsible, repeatable approaches to scaling AI.While my day‑to‑day work is anchored within a single business unit, my approach is intentionally enterprise‑minded—focused on building principles, operating models, and ways of working that are designed to scale and transfer across teams, operating environments, and business contexts.I lead transformation through a consistent strategic lens- Start with business outcomes, not tools - Design for adoption, not just deployment - Build capability, not dependencyA core focus of my work is capability building at scale—pairing AI and intelligent automation with training, professional development, and learning‑led change so people are equipped to grow alongside evolving roles. I’m especially motivated by helping organizations move beyond experimentation into sustainable operating models where AI becomes a trusted teammate embedded in everyday work.I believe the strongest transformations happen through collaboration. I partner closely with business leaders, technologists, and practitioners to balance strategic intent with operational reality—ensuring solutions are practical, trusted, and resilient. My aspiration is to apply this approach more broadly, helping organizations scale AI and automation in ways that multiply human potential, strengthen culture, and deliver durable business outcomes.
