I love working in Human Resources field. It is where I thrive because the desire to add value to the business through its human capital is where my skills, natural talents, and passion all align. I have 25 years of experience in the human resources field ranging from talent acquisition to employee relations to strategic business partnerships. I have supported numerous styles of leadership and their departments including Engineering, Network Operations, Enterprise Portfolio Management, Technology Shared Services, Indirect and Direct Sales, and the Retail organization. One of my favorite areas of the business to support was HR. I loved saying I was HR for HR as it always started a great conversation about the value an HR Business Partner adds to their own function. I enjoy leading and managing the execution of strategies focused on driving associate engagement, organizational change, and increasing business performance. I am persistent in the pursuit of a goal. My former leader fondly referred to me as a “dog with a bone” saying I am the type of person who never gives up. The partner I am to my clients is one in a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement to help them achieve their goals. As a human resources business partner always known for showing up and adding value, I am laser focused on keeping my skills sharp, so they get the best advice and recommendations. I graduated from Radford University with a bachelor’s degree and later received my master’s in business administration in human resources mangement from Franklin Pierce University. Recently, I completed an HR management and analytics course at the Wharton School of Business, and I went back and upgraded my PHR certification to an SPHR. I am also a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and the Team Management Profile (TMP) and have used both extensively to advance development goals within my client groups.
