About Alice Thwin
We all have multiple facets of our selves.I believe in work in all forms.With my job at Anton Paar as a technical sales rep for Material Characterization X-ray: I believe a material\'s function can be understood (sometimes predicted) utilizing X-ray characterization techniques in their possible states like powders, solids, soft matter, thin film and liquids by utilizing techniques such as X-ray Diffraction and Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS/WAXS). I believe the more we can understand a materials atomic level structure and/or nano structure we can design and produce the most innovative materials effectively and efficiently; be it polymers, drugs, batteries, steel, adhesives, lubricants, drug delivery methods, cosmetics, CO2 capture materials, and discovering the next generations materials.I believe I only have a limited time on earth and with that time I can do interesting work by supporting research towards the development of new materials. I also believe in the continual work of building community. I believe by getting involved in the journey of others, this work creates rewarding experiences, be it professionally or personally. I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved with Mind\'s Matter Seattle. We work to provide opportunities, other wise unavailable, to low income high achieving high school students to help them get into their college of choice. I get to be involved professionally through the ACA, The Structural Science Community by providing help with professional development and networking skills in the structural sciences.I believe in the work involved with improving my myself. I am an avid reader, trail runner, dog trainer, yoga teacher (200 hr YTT), and horrible skier. And I would be happy to test your ears with my Spanish and German.
