About Alice Khalil
I am a driven Davis Scholar at St. Lawrence University pursuing a double major in Neuroscience and Chemistry. My academic interests are centered around understanding science through the lens of patient care, emergency medicine, and human health. I am particularly passionate about applying what I learn in the classroom to real-world medical and clinical settings.I am currently working toward a future in medicine as I aspire to pursue an M.D, and I am especially interested in how neuroscience, biology, and patient-centered care come together in emergency and clinical environments. Through my academic work and hands-on experiences, I am continuing to build the knowledge and practical skills needed for future challenges in healthcare.Outside of academics, I am an Emergency Medical Technician, where I have developed skills in patient assessment, teamwork, communication, and staying calm in high-pressure situations. I have also gained experience through an athletic training internship, a Language Resource Center internship where I supported students and staff with technology and academic resources, and as a teaching assistant for Arabic language support.I am also involved in student leadership as a student delegate to the Board of Trustees, where I help represent student perspectives and engage with campus initiatives. In addition, I work as a peer tutor supporting students academically and enjoy being involved in theater and student activities.I am always excited to connect with others who share interests in medicine, research, healthcare, and student leadership, and I hope to continue using my experiences to contribute positively to the communities I am part of.
