ABOUT ALICE AYRES

I’m a CEO in the healthcare nonprofit sector.My career started in Marketing. When I returned to healthcare in 2011, I knew I had found my home. Now I lead industry growth and change by understanding customer needs and applying strong business principles.Across CEO, President, CRO, and Executive Director roles, I worked with Boards and staff to drive revenue, stabilize bottom lines, and build membership and impact models that deliver repeatable results. Building a better and more resilient healthcare system is close to my heart. For the past 8 years I have been at the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP). My staff is insanely good and handles the day to day so I can have wider impact.Others in the industry and I know that the healthcare sector, and the provider base in particular, face significant challenges. While philanthropy has always been integral to the success of hospitals, the pandemic and recent funding cuts have made charitable giving critical to the ongoing operations of the US hospitals and health systems.However, hospital leadership often lacks the tools and bandwidth to do this on its own. At AHP, I have been working to educate healthcare leadership on how they can play a big role in outsized fundraising results. Partnerships across communities, corporations, and individuals appear be key to the future health and vitality of our healthcare system.I spend my time and energy figuring out solutions, advocating for positive and viable change, and partnering with leadership in hospitals and health systems, as well as individuals, to impact healthcare.If you’re interested in any of the above, let’s talk.
