ABOUT ALICE WATSON-SMITH
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I never imagined I would end up in real estate on the French Riviera, managing a team of successful independent agents, and loving it as much as I do. Life is full of wonderful surprises. A farm girl at heart, raised on a Tobacco farm with giraffe and eland on our doorstep, I love to be barefoot, I love nature and open spaces. Unfortunately, at 15, we fled to South Africa after the government sponsored a land-grab and our farm was taken. Though I am proudly Zimbabwean, a huge part of my heart is also in Cape Town, with Table Mountain as its backdrop. It is where I spent the next nine years of my life (excluding a year working London after University). Cape Town is a beautiful city, full of life; a must-destination on everyone\'s bucket list. and it is also the place where I started on my real estate journey, selling homes on the slopes of Table Mountain – these 4 years formed a wonderful base for my career as I learned from some of the best real estate mentors in South Africa. In 2012 I moved to Europe, living in Italy for one year, and then moved to Cannes on the French Riviera, opening the Fine & Country office in January 2013. Fine & Country is a brand I am extremely proud to represent. The bond of trust, the quality of presentation, and the investment in learning and sharing within the international network of agents and agencies is something I have yet to see elsewhere in real estate, and over the last 10 years we have grown a successful team of (now) 15 independent agents, with international backgrounds, but like-minded in their desire to provide the best real estate service possible. I love selling homes on the Cote d’Azur, I love making a storybook buyer-seller match, I love building a strong team of agents. but most of all I love growing, learning and steadily striving to be better. I have other passions too; yoga (I am a qualified Vinyasa Yoga teacher), travel (though preferring \"the path less travelled\" when I do so), napping on a Sunday afternoon, and nature (green trees and wild African animals being my true loves).
