Direct management of nursing care delivery for a staff of 23 FTE over two campuses; San Francisco and Oakland. Oversight includes operations, budgeting, quality clinical services, and patient experience. Clinical services includes the care of the neonatal population through geriatrics for patients with congenital and inherited heart disease. Responsible for capital planning, department budgeting, and operational budgeting, Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve the delivery of patient care and outcomes.Implement quality and safety measures within the department based on evidence-based practice.Responsible for the restructuring of the nursing continuing education and orientation platform.Responsible for the development and implementation of the Peds Interventional Cardiology Progression model for nursing expectations, advancement, and education.Responsible for opening a four-bed Pediatric Heart Center pre-op and recovery area for continuity of care within the Cardiology service line. Standardize practice across the East Bay and West Bay Catheterization labs. Over-site of Patient Navigators and all scheduling aspects of Catheterization and Electrophysiology procedures.Collaborate with the Family Advisory committee with the aim to increase patient and family satisfaction. Effectively increase Employee Engagement Survey results for the department, outperforming all scores within the children’s hospital and the national benchmark. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Joint Commission and Radiologic Health Branch Regulatory Accreditation standards in the departments.Responsible for ensuring compliance with Point of Care Testing standards in the departments.Chicanx Latinx Campus Association (CLCA) member with the goal to enhance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the organization.
