About Alice Pagano
Hi! I am Alice Pagano, born and raised in Acireale, Sicily. At the age of 19, in 2016, I left my beautiful volcanic island to begin my bachelor\'s degree in Physics in Padova, completing it successfully in 2019. I pursued a master\'s degree in Physics, specializing in data analysis, machine learning, and quantum computing. As an exchange student at the University of Stuttgart, I completed my master\'s thesis titled \"Optimal Quantum Gates for Rydberg Atoms Quantum Computer\".In 2022, I embarked on a collaborative PhD program between the University of Padova and Ulm, Germany. Throughout my doctoral studies, I specialized in quantum computing, mastering tools such as tensor networks and optimal control for the development of quantum computers. My research also involves extensive code development in Python, Fortran, and C++, and exploring the potential advantages of quantum computing in machine learning.Outside of academia, my passion is painting, utilizing both traditional and digital mediums. I connect my love for painting with physics by joining the organization of outreach events like \"World Quantum Day\", aiming to inspire my same curiosity and enthusiasm for quantum physics among the general public.
