ABOUT ALICE MCGRATH TURNER

As Director of Corporate Partnerships and Community Engagement at LifeMoves, the largest provider of interim housing and supportive services in Silicon Valley, I represent our organization to corporate and community partners including companies and foundations, and lead a team of 4 professionals dedicated to raising funds and building Corporate and Community-based partnerships. I feel privileged to be serving on the LifeMoves Development Leadership Team of 6 to offer insights across our team about emerging sources of funding to achieve important work as providers of 29-plus interim housing sites and supportive services from San Mateo County to Silicon Valley. My corporate position at See\'s Candies and my nonprofit leadership experience of 16 years as Director of Community and Corporate Relations at Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, formed the bedrock of my experience in developing business acumen and fueled my passion to understand the needs of individuals of all capabilities. Collaborating with leaders on accessibility and inclusion across areas that included education, consumer experience, civic activities, and government, solidified my capabilities in building consensus and achieving tangible results. I look forward to continuing to be a voice directed to meeting challenges in communities of need. One of the inspiring aspects of my work is reaching out to show results of assisting others as they strive to better their lives and contribute to their peers and neighbors. My own work in advocating for others places me in front of community groups, professional colleagues, fellow advocates, and organizations as a public speaker, conference presenter, panelist, and workshop facilitator. I welcome new followers and connections on LinkedIn.
