ABOUT ALICE MAY HOPWOOD
Head of Geography and Whole School Sustainability at Chesterton Community Sports College after completing a PGDipEd (QTS) in Secondary Geography at The University of Birmingham and gaining first class honours in BSc Geography from Manchester Metropolitan University, followed by a Masters in Teaching Studies from The University of Birmingham.I am a dedicated, innovative and dynamic person who has initiative and is determined to become successful. I bring a little bit of perfectionism to any task I complete and can adapt where necessary to strategically overcome any issues presented.I studied A-Level Statistics, Geography, Geology and AS Mathematics at The City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form. All of these going hand-in-hand for my degree where I continued with these skills, applying my knowledge of Geology and Statistics to my course giving me good background knowledge for many of the modules I have completed.Studying a PGDipEd at The University of Birmingham fulfilled my childhood ambition of becoming a teacher, aiming to shape the futures of students and encourage them to be their best. I am now gaining the experience as a teacher to work towards higher roles to have a greater influence on a student body by contributing to wider responsibilities and continuing my professional development.
