ABOUT ALICE HARKNESS

I am the Europe Client Excellence Leader for our Mercer Marsh Benefits Global Benefits Management business. I work closely with my team to support multinational clients in the design and delivery of their Health benefits across Europe; to ensure they are able to retain and promote talent within their workforce.We look to ensure effective and efficient risk and health renewals across the region adding value through providing one point of contact to partner with regional HR teams to ensure their policies are competitive, adequate and relevant to their workforces. This also includes ensuring Darwin, our digital platform, supports ongoing employee engagement and effective communication. We enable companies to keep on top of the trends and evolve their benefits accordingly - whether through utilizing our reward platform Darwin for flexible benefits or addressing DEI (e.g. gender, age, LGBT) bias that exists in current insurance programs. I am also a strong advocate of promoting activities that enhance the ability of women to reach their potential internally and with clients. Previously at Mercer I led the Asia region in this role and prior was the Strategic Development Manager within our Global Business Solutions growth markets team looking at design and delivery of our key strategic initiatives that help drive growth within the region. Other roles have included being the Operations & Project Manager at Lloyd\'s of London (Asia) in Singapore, facilitating a centralised premium processing & credit control back office function and when in the UK, working as the Executive Manager in the UK Consumer Division for AIG. With the first four years of my career undertaking Financial Regulation at the FSA, focused on banking supervision with a emerging market focus. All roles have required significant relationship management, analytical, organisational and project management skills.I am a Prince2 practitioner and hold the CII Certificate of Insurance & CISI module in Regulation and Compliance.Specialties: Strategy, Operations, Project Management & Financial Regulation
