ABOUT ALICE HALEY

Driven and enthusiastic nutritionist specialising in public health nutrition, actively engaged in making an impact on the health and well-being of communities. Recently nominated for ‘Most Supportive Nutritionist’ in the Nutrition Graduates awards 2023 and received a special mention for my work with Nutri-CV. I currently work as the Programme Nutritionist for Gloucestershire County Council, working within the children and families hub on the HAF (Holiday Activity and Food Programme) across Gloucestershire. In this role, I develop and implement nutrition training for providers that promotes healthy eating habits and support for the overall aim of the health of children and families during Spring, Summer and Winter school holidays. Furthermore, I contribute seasonally to Purely Nutrition, supporting the delivery of HAF nutrition camps throughout Wiltshire. These engagements allow me to apply my knowledge in a practical setting, to support healthier lifestyles among the participants. I have also undertaken a valuable volunteering placement with the Caroline Walker Trust, where I developed recipes tailored to children with diverse dietary requirements, age groups, and cultural preferences. Additionally, I am the proud founder of Nutri-CV, a small business established in 2023. Nutri-CV provides a personal, affordable, responsive, professional CV writing service tailored to nutrition students and professionals. Hosting regularly webinars on a variety of career topics, Please feel free to review the recommendations from my clients. Previously, I dedicated four years as an AfN certified Healthy Eating Specialist for Waitrose & Partners. This role, certified by the Association for Nutrition, allowed me to guide and advise customers on adhering to current UK government recommendations for healthy eating. I educated them on how to make informed choices while food shopping, deciphering food labels, and adopting healthier lifestyles. My passion for customer education was evident as I empowered individuals to make sustainable choices that positively impacted their health and well-being. Alongside my professional experiences, I actively pursue personal and professional growth. As the Course Representative for my cohort, I ensure student voices are heard and advocate for their needs within the academic community.
