ABOUT ALICE DOYARD
Alice Doyard is an Oscar®winning producer and director. Originally a mathematician, she started a career in film making in 2008.She is French and divides her time between Paris and London.Alice is widely recognized for her skill in finding powerful human stories in places as diverse as the battlefields of the World Wars or the forests of Congo. She brings a highly developed sensitivity in managing contributors on set - from powerful global public figures to vulnerable individuals struggling to tell their stories. Her credits include: The confined: A Story of Hidden Children (BBC), The Remarkable Resistance of Lilo (BBC), Resistance Women : The Fight Against Hitler in Berlin (BBC), World War One from Above (BBC), Terres de Cinéma : Bridget Jones et London (Arte), Les Apprentis Sorciers du Climat (Arte), Immortalité (Arte), Enfants Forçats (Arte) Her work with Fergal Keane and the BBC News team on the downfall of the dictator Robert Mugabe was awarded with a Golden Nymph at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in 2018. In 2020, Alice produced Colette (directed by Anthony Giacchino) and won an Oscar® in the Short Documentary category.
