ABOUT ALICE DAVIDSON

I am a Chartered Planner, with over 10 year\'s experience in major residential planning.I joined Vistry Group in 2023. Vistry develops private and affordable homes through partnerships with landowners, registered providers and local authorities across England and Wales. I am a Senior Planning Manager in the Vistry Major Projects team; helping to plan, promote and deliver large-scale residential led new communities from start to finish, including the delivery of major infrastructure.In my previous role as Group Senior Planning Manager I provided planning advice as required to the regional businesses, particularly in relation to specialist areas including Biodiversity Net Gain and Nutrient Neutrality. I covered the Thames Valley, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Cambridge, Oxfordshire, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham and Lancashire. I was also involved in the preparation of Group Planning Guidance, Vistry Group representations to Government consultations and working with groups such as the RTPI, Future Homes Hub and the LPDF in their work lobbying government for positive planning reforms. Previous to Vistry I worked in planning consultancy for over 8 years. I have a great deal of experience in project management, negotiation and co-ordination, planning application preparation and submission, planning appeals, Environmental Impact Assessment work and S106 negotiations, as well as strategic site promotion and preparation of representations.I have a degree in Architecture and Planning (RIBA Part 1 and RTPI accredited).I have been a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute\'s General Assembly and have previously sat on the RTPI Education & Lifelong Learning Committee. I previously worked as a Planner at Wokingham Borough Council within the Development Delivery Team, working on large scale strategic projects of several thousand homes.The postings on this site are my own and do not represent Vistry\'s opinions or positions.
