ABOUT TINA LIN
My work has always been centered around spiritual awareness, faith, belief, and world mythology. I love the earth, nature, including plants, animals, and the ocean, and therefore, it is very organic. I try to design my pieces with flowing lines and make them come alive in the metal. I am fascinated not only by jewelry and its design, but also the story behind the design and the process of making it. My work has evolved to be more mindful of the materials I use in my finished products, and I can maintain a strong sense of collection, just as careful as I look for materials. I am a late-career student. I love jewelry, and the more I learn, the more I want to make custom pieces using new techniques. I am very passionate about finding and connecting with other people and fellow artists. I am still not sure if I discovered jewelry or jewelry found me, and I am so grateful because it has changed my life.
