Lead and conduct independent and collaborative research at the intersection of data science, clinical epidemiology, and AI in healthcare, focusing on injury prevention and outcomes research- Design and oversee end-to-end analytical and modelling frameworks, from study conceptualization and data curation to model development, validation, and dissemination- Apply rigorous methodologies including longitudinal analysis, survival modelling, multilevel/hierarchical modelling, and causal inference, alongside machine learning and AI approaches for prediction, risk stratification, and pattern discovery- Develop and evaluate predictive models and AI-driven decision support tools using large-scale clinical, imaging, and population health datasets-Implement and optimize models using Python/R-based ML frameworks (e.g, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn), ensuring scalability, reproducibility, and performance-Ensure methodological rigor and reproducibility, including model validation, calibration, and transparent reporting of analytical workflows-Translate analytical and AI outputs into clinically and policy-relevant insights, supporting real-world applications in healthcare and health systems-Lead and contribute to grant development, study design, and peer-reviewed publications, advancing a high-impact translational research program-Supervise and mentor trainees, fostering scientific development, technical expertise, and critical thinking-Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences, contributing to academic and clinical knowledge translation.
