About Alia Blackburn
My name is Alia Blackburn. I\'m an Indianapolis, Indiana native, currently working as an anchor & reporter at WXIN/WTTV (Indianapolis, Indiana).Before coming back to my hometown in 2021, I worked at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute. I started there in 2013, and for seven years, worked my way up as a producer to weekday morning co-anchor. I consider myself a \"jack of all trades\" in the industry. Besides the basics of shooting, writing and editing on my own, I consider myself a powerful storyteller, with a creative eye, and a strong sense of news judgment. I\'ve covered a variety of impactful stories within the Wabash Valley and beyond. From interviewing presidential candidates, to serving as a media witness to two federal executions, I can adapt to any situation I am thrown in to.
