Tasks Design and implementation of advanced optical setups for ultrafast spectroscopy, quantum sensing, and meteorology Time-resolved spectroscopy of quantum defects in solid states PhD representative mediating the administrative and students’ needsAchievements High-Sensitivity NV-Based Magnetometer Development- Designed and implemented an optical setup employing nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond to detect magnetic fields with a sensitivity of 18 pT/√Hz; the best reported value for absorption-based NV magnetometers. Included optimization of laser fluctuations with a modulator, optical alignment, and low-noise signal acquisition using lock-in amplification and FPGA-based signal generation. Time-Resolved Spectroscopy of NV Centers in diamond and SiV in SiC- Led experiments involving pulsed laser excitation and fast detection electronics to discover electronic transitions and photoionization dynamics of NV and Si vacancy centers. Applied advanced signal processing and synchronization with high-speed digitizers. Broadband Transient Absorption Spectroscopy System Implementation- Built a spectroscopic platform combining ultrafast lasers and a CW broadband source, enabling measurements from nanoseconds to seconds. Integrated optical and electronic components for synchronized data collection and spectral analysis. Common-Path Interferometer Implementation- Developed a robust common-path interferometer using birefringent α-BBOwedges for light transmission, achieving high stability without the need foractive feedback control.
