ABOUT SAFWAN KHAN

Hi, I’m Ali Safwan Khan, an Environmental Systems Engineering graduate from the University of Regina with a passion for sustainable solutions and innovation in Civil and Environmental engineering. I have been fortunate enough to use my educational knowledge to address real-world problems like optimization of drilling plans, groundwater modeling, and conducting environmental impact assessments, all while ensuring regulatory compliance and enhancing project efficiency.During my time as an Environmental Engineering Co-op Student at Teck Resources, I contributed to significant cost savings and project improvements through data-driven insights and advanced field data management. I’m skilled in CAD software, PowerBI, and Excel, which help me visualize complex data and optimize engineering projects.As part of my capstone project, I led the design and implementation of an innovative Earthen Manure Storage (EMS) facility. This involved conducting environmental impact assessments, developing safety protocols, and utilizing SolidWorks to create precise designs. The project allowed me to combine advanced engineering principles with practical environmental solutions to ensure both structural integrity and regulatory compliance.Outside of engineering, I express my creativity through photography and videography, running a small business where I produce content for clients, including CBC. I also actively volunteer with environmental groups and participate in community clean-up events, working to make a positive impact both professionally and locally.Feel free to connect with me or message me.
