About Ali Naqvi

I\'m a Software Engineer and have spent most of my career in Android development. I\'ve built Android apps completely from scratch which shipped to thousands of users, developed for existing large-scale global apps, and also worked on writing public Android SDKs for other devs to use. Currently I work at Patreon on their Android app. Previously I\'ve worked at Snap Inc. on the CameraKit Android SDK and at Under Armour on their MapMyRun Android app. I graduated in May 2020 with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. I am passionate about Computer Science and I love learning new topics within it. Currently, I am most interested in mobile development and have experience in Android development.During my time as a UTCS student, I was also part of an on campus organization called Mobile App Development where I led the org as President and also as an Android Instructor prior to that. I loved being a part of this organization because it taught me Android Development when I joined, which I was then able to teach it to students in weekly workshops. I also enjoyed overseeing and managing the organization overall as president.My interests/hobbies are: video games, photography, cooking/baking, music, spending time with close friends and family, developing side projects whenever I get a solid idea, and self-teaching myself new topics within Comp Sci.
