About Ali Ebrahimi
My area of expertise is applying various technologies for geotechnical subsurface characterization, slope stabilization, ground improvement, foundation design, and geological hazard assessment and mitigation. I have served my clients with innovative assessment of geological hazards affecting gas pipelines using LiDAR and inertial measurement unit (IMU) ILI technologies and developing novel solutions to manage or mitigate the geological hazard using cost effective construction technologies with minimum long-term maintenance cost. Currently, I am serving geohazard mitigations and managements for eight pipeline operators in more than 100 geohazard sites in the US. Leading complex projects, my team has developed and implemented turn-key state-of-art and state-of-practice geotechnical and structural instrumentation and montioring systems for montioring the performance of various infrastructures during construction or infrastructures affected by geological hazards. My group is the leading group in the US for the monitoring services of the gas and product pipelines affected by geohazards. Our team currently provides the geotechnical monitoring services for more than 200 geohazard sites with more than data points collected and processed daily. I have contributed to publications of several industry documents, such as the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) with \"Manual on Subsurface Investigations\" and Joint Industry Project for INGAA with \"Guidelines for Management of Landslide Hazards for Pipelines\", on the topics ranging from geotechnical engineering, geological hazards, dam safety and geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
