About Ali Cellier
I attended the University of St. Thomas studying Health Promotion. The opportunity to educate myself in the science and health curriculum along side marketing and consumer behavior classes was the perfect combination of what I wanted to study. All I knew going in was that I wanted a role that was more on the \"business\" side of health and wellness in some shape or form. This led me to an internship at United Healthcare on the Strategic Marketing team. This was my first time experiencing a corporate office and work style. I worked a 40 hr/week internship while going to school full time. Our team was responsible for the marketing materials for Open Enrollment events. I made networking throughout the organization a priority during my internship. This led me to my first job out of college as a Healthcare Consultant for Optum (UnitedHealth Group). I completed the Consulting Development Program (2+ year program that prepares you to be a self sufficient consultant). I worked on multiple projects throughout the organization and expanded my skills set and knowledge base. These projects were product heavy, specifically on member facing portals.(myuhc.com) I then transitioned out of Consulting and into a full time Product role within Optum RX on the Specialty Cost Management team. I led Operations, Implementation, and Market Opportunity work streams. These work streams were a part of developing products designed to make Specialty drugs more affordable to our clients and members. I transitioned back into Consulting in April 2022. I was a Capability Manager on the IFP (Individual & Family Plans) team- managing regulatory, compliance, member enhancement, etc. requests to the myuhc portal from conception to finish. After almost 7 years at UHG, I was ready for a new challenge. I began my role as Director of Strategic Operations at Boomy Health in November 2022.
