Learning is a life-long experience that transfers the knowledge from one source (i.e. teacher) to another (i.e. learner) in a way that enables the latter to evaluate new concepts and phenomena related to the transferred knowledge. Surprisingly, that works the other way around as well (knowledge transferred from the learner to the teacher) in classes where, for example, the learner has come from a slightly different background.I became more observant of my teachers and critical of what makes them good teachers at an early age. My teaching philosophy has developed through my experience as a lecturer at Cairo University, a teaching assistant at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, a teaching assistant at the University of Manchester, an honourary lecturer at the University of Liverpool, a lecturer at Monash University, a lecturer at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and as a lecturer and Program Director at Victoria University of Wellington.
