I have fifteen years of laboratory experience in the fields of protein biochemistry, structural biology, and microbiology, with 15 peer-reviewed journal publications and 1 reference book chapter. Extensive experience at communicating science both in scientific and classroom settings. I am an enthusiastic scientist who enjoys contributing to multiple projects and make scientific progress and achieve project goals in a timely manner. Always eager to learn new skills and learn about new scientific disciplines. Extensive experience culturing bacterial strains for protein production and developing or implementing assays for protein characterization. My most recent experience involves probing the biology of eukaryotic parasites with cell-based assays, light microscopy, and protein biochemistry in a truly multi-disciplinary approach.
