Serving as reviewer for more than 50 scientific journals, including the most important in the field of neuroscience and is a member of the editorial board of 5 of them. He has lectured as invited speaker in more than 100 international conferences, including the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS), the British Society of Neurosurgery (SBNS), the Neurosurgical Society of Southeast Europe (SEENS), the German Association of Neurosurgery (DGNC), the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the European Society of radiosurgery. He received some of the major national and international awards in its field: the \"Tagliapietra\" National Award (awarded by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery), the \"B. Guidetti” International Award (awarded by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery), EANS Aesculap Prize (awarded by the European Society of Neurosurgery); Best Poster ESSFN (conferred by the European Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery); the “frameless stereotactic radiosurgery publication competition” (awarded by Cureus-Accuray Inc.); EANS Research Fund (awarded by the European Society of Neurosurgery). He was co-investigator in 7 National Funding Programs funded with overall 3 million euros and PI in 3 National Program funded 1.2 million euros.
