About Alfredo Carrillo Obregon
I am a globally-minded individual passionate about exploring ways to maximize economic opportunities and achieve sustainable and inclusive growth. This led me to major in International Political Economy at Georgetown University and to complete internships and research projects in the field of international trade. Among these, my work helping the Trade Office at the Embassy of Mexico promote the US-Mexico-Canada agreement (USMCA) and elaborating a legal strategy for litigation at the World Trade Organization stand out. Moreover, I have completed research projects studying the causes and effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction by developing countries, becoming knowledgeable at using STATA and applying a variety of statistical techniques in the process. A native Spanish and advanced German speaker, I am eager for opportunities that permit me to contribute to, and continue learning about, the fostering of international economic linkages for the purposes of achieving mutual prosperity.
