ABOUT AL MOORE

Al Moore is an educator, entrepreneur, and researcher. As a Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, his research focuses on reading acquisition for students with reading difficulty and the design of interventions. With more than a decade of experience in education and entrepreneurship, he has served in several leadership capacities. At Acelin, he served as the Founding Executive Director, spearheading the design and delivery of reading interventions to schools. The results achieved by students in his treatment programs at Acelin further affirm that all students can achieve at high levels. As Executive Director with Johns Hopkins, he led a school turnaround initiative that deploys an integrated system of interventions to keep students on track to graduation. His intervention expertise was developed as a reading clinician, working with students who struggled academically and were diagnosed with dyslexia and other learning differences.
