About Alex Tyink
I am the founder & CEO of Fork Farms, a food access technology company, building systems that enable organizations to grow fresh food where it is consumed. At Fork Farms, we design systems, programs, and products that allow schools, hospitals, food pantries, corporations, and community organizations to grow fresh food right where people live, work, and gather. We’ve partnered with more than organizations across the U.S. to bring safe, affordable food production on site. Instead of traveling 1,500 miles in a truck, food can move from seed to plate within minutes. Many of our partners grow food for less than $1 per pound, competing directly with grocery store pricing while improving access to fresh food. What makes Fork Farms different is our focus on making local food practical at scale. Our systems fit into real buildings, run with existing staff, and make economic sense. At scale, this work isn’t just about farms. It’s about reshaping how fresh food is produced by moving it closer to where it’s grown, prepared, and used every day.As a leader in the industry and seasoned speaker, I regularly present about the future of food systems, food access, and how local food production can strengthen communities.
