ABOUT ALEXANDRE MOURA

I am a health data researcher driven by a single mission: bridging the gap between raw datasets and clinical strategy to make patient safety proactive rather than reactive. My foundation in BSc Biomedicine and Neuroscience at Lancaster University sparked my interest in the biological predictors of health, which I later translated into the computational space. I then graduated among the top of my cohort with a Distinction in an MSc Health Data Science, where I had the privilege of architecting the data modelling framework for a proposed UK national health observatory for the NHS and DHSC, as part of my MSc Thesis. Currently, I am expanding this expertise as an MSc Health Economics and Policy student at Imperial College London, where I am on track for a second Distinction.I consider myself a \"well-traveled researcher,\" having sought out diverse perspectives through summer programs at UBC Sauder and Medical Schools in Canada and field research with the World Health Organisation in Tanzania. These experiences, combined with my time as an NHS Clinical Care Manager, have taught me to navigate multicultural environments and translate complex data into practical solutions.I am proficient in R, Python, STATA, SPSS, and Bash, and my long-term ambition is to pursue a PhD in data-driven pharmacovigilance, focusing on protecting high-risk paediatric populations through real-world evidence.I am always eager to connect with others passionate about health tech, innovation, and global health equity.
