ABOUT ALEX TICAS

Mission-driven and proven business development and sales leader with a strong track record of delivering business impact through high-growth, go-to-market strategies and building specialized sales and account management teams in order to unlock numerous industry segments, generating $120MM+ annual revenue. Seasoned mentor and team builder, collaborating cross-functionally - marketing, legal, product, engineering, operations, customer support - in order to deliver best-in-class sales and account management solutions to Fortune companies. Graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in International Political Economy. I was the recipient of Fordham University\'s Senior Leadership Award for dedicated service to the Fordham Community. Before career in tech industry, I began my career with United Nations Annual Department of Public Information/Nongovernmental (DPI/NGO) Conference. I founded and chaired the Young Professionals Subcommittee which allowed college/university students and young professionals to share their initiatives and network with NGO leaders and government delegations at the annual conference. In August 2007, I co-founded the International Youth Council (IYC), a nonprofit organization (now absorbed as part of the Friendship Ambassadors organization) that aims to foster youth engagement and promote sustainable development through organizational partnerships, entrepreneurial projects, and leadership opportunities. Meanwhile, I also worked to build cultural and intergenerational partnerships through a variety of roles: Project Manager for NY AIDS Film Festival, Program Coordinator for the Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations and External Communications Coordinator for the United Nations Major Group on Children & Youth. In my hometown of Uniondale, NY, I co-founded a youth program, U Strong, in 2008. After eight months of galvanizing support for \"U Strong 4 Change\" campaign, I spoke at a May 2009 press conference with former County Executive Thomas Suozzi to announce the launch of the Nassau County Summer Youth Employment Corp, which created summer job opportunities for youth in at-risk communities. The new jobs program received from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 and created the joint public & private commission on youth employment.
