For the hardware that flies in a vacuum through harsh temperatures and intense radiation exposure, with precious limited power in the farthest reaches of space, depth of experience and attention to detail is critical. I specialize in high-reliability flight software so multi-million dollar missions don’t suffer asset loss and can take full advantage of success. I am applying my deep expertise in software for flagship and discovery NASA science missions to creating reliable, performant, and highly configurable flight software at Rocket Lab. I jointly led software development for NASA JPL’s Psyche flight software team and the field robotics team at Heliogen. I developed semi-autonomous GPR software for the Perseverance rover and robotics perception applications.
