About Alex Roshuk
Former legal advisor to Wikipedia/Wikimedia Foundation. Prior to becoming a lawyer I was active in the entertainment industry, ran post-production facility in Montreal Canada, produced several documentary films for RAI (Italian Television) and received various grants as a video artists from NYS Counsel on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Canada Council for the Arts and Minister of Cultural Affairs of Quebec. Studied electronics at Princeton University (1974-76), database programming, desktop computer technology, linear and non-linear film/video editor for various artists and groups. Specialist in comparative law issues, studied French and English law at McGill University Faculty of Law, Montreal, Quebec. Currently in private practice admitted to the NYS Bar since 1998.Specialties: Non-profit corporation and business corporation law, entertainment law, IP law (trademarks, copyrights, design rights), immigration law, civil litigation (including federal and state practice), digital technology and internet law. Also substantial experience in domestic relations (divorce, division of marital property, custody and visitation).

This has been a part-time position. I have assisted The Harmonic Arts Society, Inc. now known as the Harmonic Presence Foundation since its early years. HPF is known as the North American sponsor for David Hykes and the Harmonic Choir, a professional choral group featured by Radio France in its world music collection since the early 1980s. I have assisted them with various licensing, not-for-profit, contract and management issues over the years.
