ABOUT ALEX MACLEAN

I love identifying end-user problems, ideating innovative solutions through applying strategic and practical processes from an end-user perspective, and using modern technology to produce solutions to these problems. Throughout my short 24 year life I have had the opportunity to work in several positions, full-time, contract and freelance, and meet some really amazing people along this journey. Here\'s some of the highlights that I have enjoyed so far and what I have learnt about myself: I have a background in both software and design, meaning I understand the constraints of both parties- I have worked as a software developer in the medical industry developing user interfaces for a leading maternity company- I have worked freelance and contract work, where I understood client problems to produce design and development solutions, and worked with many new and amazing people- I have founded a company with two friends that has achieved over $300k in revenue inside the first 6 months and we are just getting started. I educate, refine and push myself to always be better and do better- I am constantly learning because I love to push myself to the next stage- I work well under pressure because challenges excite me and drive me to find a solution- I am passionate about doing things to a high level of quality, both in terms of the work I produce and the decisions that I make. I can align, lead and work with anyone, so long as they are as passionate as I am- I love to see client reactions to solutions, it fills me with joy to see the client happy- I understand the research, design, and development pipelines and can communicate with all those involved- I get a great feeling from teaching others and helping my team to win. I enjoy meeting new people, hearing new stories, perspectives and solutions. So say hello if you want to talk to me about emerging technology, creating solutions using software, or football.
