Develop and execute technology direction of all aspects of NielsenIQ’s global IT and business projects, leading a team of over 200 associates globally, managing a $270M annual budget. Created and implemented a cloud-first strategy providing new hybrid cloud capabilities and connectivity to the business, delivering IT digital transformation, automation, and balance of ITIL & Agile DevOps culture. Modernized and secured global on-prem and cloud data center (AWS, Azure & GCP) environment through design and execution of new security initiatives. •Led The Nielsen Company technology split initiative, splitting the comingled data centers into separate companies, involving multiple data centers on-prem and cloud, hundreds of applications and thousands of servers, storage and network infrastructure. Completed project in less than 1 year with 0 client impacts •Enabled work from home capabilities for over associates globally while maintaining high-security controls •Created strategy to reduce client and production impacts by 80% by implementing quality controls & non-disruptive system currency •Created multi-year strategic roadmap for data center on-prem and cloud technology modernization, implemented and streamlined new technology standards, resulting in OPEX savings of over $100M. •Led global data center and server room reduction project, consolidating 9 data centers to 3, and 171 server rooms to 20. •Drove multi-year all-flash data storage transformation, resulting in 90% floor space reduction, 75% annual OPEX maintenance reduction, 30% CAPEX reduction, 60% system performance improvement, and 95% reduction of SEV1 outages. •Developed strong vendor and contractor partnerships, effectively negotiated vendor contracts resulting in OPEX savings of over $80M.
