Alex is an award-winning community leader and social impact entrepreneur with an extensive range of professional experience and success in the areas of community development, PR, brand development, marketing, community engagement, community relations, business development, communications, and event design, event production, and event management. He has also led an exemplary career holding a variety of positions that have focused on empowering and engaging the Latino community. Alex is the founder and immediate past chairman of the California Hispanic Professional Association (CHispPA), an all-inclusive non-profit professionals association whose mission is to empower its community in the areas of educational, professional and community development. Currently, Alex is the Founder and CEO for Silicon Valley Latino, LLC. Silicon Valley Latino (SVL) is an emerging media, marketing and engagement company, who challenges itself to provide compelling content through words and images, to engage the Latino community through social media dialogue, and aspires to nothing short of greatness as the preeminent showcase of Latino Previously Alex held the Chief Development Officer position at the Mexican American Community Services Agency, Inc.(MACSA). While at MACSA, Ontiveros was responsible for all aspects of the agency\'s Fund Development, Communication (Public Relations & Media Relations), Corporate Relations, Branding and Special Events. He successfully developed and led MACSA\'s signature fundraising event – The Red Carpet Gala, featuring the Most Influential Latinos of Silicon Valley and the Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame. Prior to his role at MACSA, Alex was the VP and Director of Community Relations for Citigroup (Citibank) in the Silicon Valley region.
