About Alex Little

The phone call nobody wants to get: a federal agent is asking questions about your business. A grand jury subpoena lands on your desk. Your name shows up in a government investigation you didn’t see coming.That\'s when my clients find me.I’m a trial lawyer who has spent his career on both sides of federal criminal law. As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, I prosecuted national security cases, complex financial fraud, public corruption, and organized crime. I know how federal prosecutors build cases—because I used to build them. Now I use that knowledge to take them apart. At Litson PLLC, our 25-person litigation boutique handles federal criminal defense, white-collar investigations, government enforcement actions, presidential pardons and clemency, regulatory compliance, and high-stakes civil litigation. What makes us different isn’t just experience—it’s methodology. Before law, I was a CIA intelligence analyst and an advisor to President Jimmy Carter working to solve armed conflict negotiations in Africa. Those careers taught me a three-part framework I apply to every case: Diagnose the real problem like a spy. Understand every player in the system like a diplomat. Then advocate with total conviction like a trial lawyer who’s earned the right to fight. I wrote a book about it: Spies, Saints, and Stingers: A Framework for Solving Impossible Problems (Fall 2026).I also believe lawyers should build, not just practice. I’m the creator of Jellyfish Prep, an AI-powered bar exam and law school study platform, and I develop AI tools that help our firm and others operate with more precision and less friction.Recognized: Chambers USA · Best Lawyers in America · Super Lawyers · Adjunct Professor, Vanderbilt Law School→ Facing a federal investigation or high-stakes legal crisis? Experience

  1. Founder & Developer

    Jellyfish Prep

Nov 2025 — Present · Nashville, TN, US

I build AI-powered tools that solve real problems for lawyers and law students.Jellyfish Prep (jellyfishprep.com) is an AI-driven bar exam preparation and study platform used by law students. It applies adaptive learning and AI tutoring to help students study smarter and pass faster.I also develop internal AI tools for Litson PLLC—including Donna, a task management system built around how litigation teams actually work—and write regularly about how AI is reshaping legal practice.I believe the lawyers who will thrive in the next decade are the ones who build, not just bill. Technology should amplify legal judgment, not replace it—and the professionals closest to the work are the ones who should be building the tools.
