ABOUT ALEX LANDON
Hi, I\'m Alex! Let\'s connect if your organization needs help with:>> Simplifying complicated health information technology and data visualization concepts into clear, compelling, data-driven, actionable stories that grow authentic connections to your organization\'s mission, products, and services.>> Spearheading multi-channel, digital-first communication and public relations initiatives that drive brand awareness and engage internal and external stakeholders.>> Directing cross-functional teams with calm, clear leadership in extraordinarily high-pressure, chaotic environments with significant reputational risk to the organization. My story: I thrive in situations where the challenges seem impossible and where failure is not an option. I spent over seven years in CDC\'s Joint Information Center during more than 10 disease outbreak and natural disaster responses, including MERS, Ebola, Zika, hurricanes, and the COVID-19 pandemic. In times of crisis, I led by example through very long hours, very late nights, never-ending inboxes, constantly ringing phones, several different \"White House wants it yesterday\" deadlines at once, and many strong personalities stressed nearly to the point of breaking. After the pandemic, I joined a newly created and rapidly scaling CDC data and technology modernization office\'s mission to help the nation urgently transform the flow of healthcare, laboratory, and public health data by partnering CDC public health and disease experts together with software engineers, product leaders, human-centered service designers, and executives from the technology and health IT sectors. After more than a decade of throwing myself into one deep end after another, I have forged a reputation as an adaptable, resilient, high-performing, and empathetic storyteller, strategist, leader, and relationship-builder who will rise to any challenge, no matter how tough or complex. Connect with me to see how we can rise to your organization\'s biggest communication challenges together!
