I am a people-focused professional passionate about history, who loves learning and delivers an exceptional visitor experience by ensuring that tours are engaging and interesting, tailored to visitors\' expectations and interests. I hold a Master\'s degree in History and have gained practical experience working in the Heritage and Museums sector. I thrive in public-facing roles because I genuinely enjoy connecting with new people from all walks of life and making history fun, accessible, and engaging. I am actively expanding my knowledge of museum practice and recently completed a \"Working with Collections\" course through the Museums Association, of which I am a member.My background has helped me develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, often tailoring messages to the audience to ensure clear understanding. While working in my current voluntary role at Leighton Hall, I have thoroughly enjoyed conducting guided tours, demonstrating strong presentation skills, and providing a first-class customer experience. Additionally, I have supported the house in increasing its funds by encouraging donations and Gift Aid from visitors.Moreover, while working as a gallery interpreter for The Tech Interactive in California, I led interactive programmes and events involving experiments and demonstrations, encouraging visitors to participate and learn. This role attracted a significant footfall, requiring me to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment while remaining calm, friendly, and professional.I also possess excellent project management skills and have worked on a variety of projects, from migrating programmes to delivering global learning initiatives. I have extensive experience in successfully delivering projects on time, to specifications, and within budget. I am particularly recognised for my stakeholder engagement and management skills, demonstrating a natural ability to facilitate effective communication between the commercial and IT departments to ensure aligned goals.Whether delivering a tour to a school group, managing a complex digital project, or supporting customers from diverse backgrounds, I bring empathy, adaptability, and a solutions-focused approach to every role I undertake. I am now keen to deepen my impact within the heritage sector, combining my project delivery expertise with my historical knowledge and enthusiasm to foster a love for learning.
