About Alexis R. Sadakane
I’m your Human Resources partner specializing in guiding employers through California’s convoluted employment law landscape. I counsel businesses of varying sizes in various industries on personnel and wage and hour compliance matters, as well as the preparation of employee handbooks, employment agreements, policies and compensation plans. I also conduct sexual harassment and wage and hour trainings as well as independent investigations and compliance audits. My litigation practice focuses on defending employers in employment actions under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Title VII including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims; State and Federal wage and hour matters; private attorney general act representative matters (PAGA), OSHA and Cal/OSHA violations; and ADA and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act accessibility claims. At the outset of my legal career, I represented employees in single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment and retaliation cases. I now leverage this prior plaintiff-side experience to defend employers in similar suits. When I am not advocating on behalf of my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my dog, watching professional sports, handicapping horse races, and hosting dinner parties for my family and friends.
