About Alexis Libardi
I aim to inspire young minds to prioritize their mental health and encourage healthy emotional growth. Fostering nurturing environments for children and advocating for mental health are central to my professional ethos. With skills in emotional intelligence and working with children, I actively promote mental wellness and empathy, laying the groundwork for a career dedicated to psychological well-being. As a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, with an expected completion in May 2025. Currently, as a childcare provider, I am applying my studies in psychology and sociology from UNCC to advance exploration and curiosity in children and adolescents. These experiences, coupled with my dedication to mental health advocacy, are the cornerstones of my professional journey, guiding my aspirations to positively impact child psychology. I thrive in roles that cultivate empathy and awareness. I have a proven track record in leadership and philanthropy. As Vice President of Events and Programming at Kappa Delta Sorority, I led and organized events for over 150 attendees and spearheaded fundraising initiatives. I have also had the opportunity to serve as an active mentor for Girl Scouts, providing hands-on guidance to instill confidence and empower their personal growth. My commitment extends beyond care, as I also advocate for mental health, drawing on evidence-based research and personal insights through my blog, LexiLight, and my leadership positions in the Active Minds Organization and Mind Body Wellness Club at UNCC. My experiences have shaped my ability to foster inclusive spaces and promote mental health wellness geared towards creating a meaningful difference in the next generation of children. 🧠🩹 Looking forward to connecting!
