ABOUT ALEXIS LANE

Hi! My name is Alexis, and I am studying Computer Science at the University of Dayton. I am excited to be in my senior year at UD and am looking forward to continuing to develop my technical and professional skills. I’ve gained meaningful experience over the course of three internships during my four years of college. I had the opportunity to intern with Excellus BCBS as a Network Operations Intern during the summer of 2023, where I gained hands-on experience auditing and updating firewall policies and ensuring secure network segmentation across all Upstate NY regions. I then transitioned to a co-op with American Honda Motor Co. as a Talent Acquisition Optimization Co-Op, where I developed and executed a method for automating all reporting processes within Honda Talent Acquisition, minimizing their previously manual processes. Most recently, I interned with Caterpillar Inc. as a Software Engineer, where I worked on the Test Data Management team—an application that creates test data for all customer-facing CAT applications. I developed Angular-based front-end components and contributed to full-stack tickets using JavaScript, HTML, and backend APIs. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had and now feel set up to find success in this industry. I am currently searching for a full-time position post-graduation this May and would love to connect with you!
