ABOUT LEXY GARBARINO
Lexy Garbarino is the co-owner of Garbarino Disposal & Recycling and Global Leasing, and the sole owner of Garbarino Management. She serves as President of the Board at Project Lemonade, Board Member of Entrepreneurs\' Organization (EO) Portland, Finance Chair of the Washington County Haulers Association, Board Member of ORRA, and sits on the North Plains Planning Commission. Lexy champions innovation, sustainability, and workforce development, especially for underrepresented groups. Prior to her role at the family business, Lexy was the director of events for the Portland Business Journal. As the Director of Events, she oversaw the 40 plus signature events hosted by the Portland Business Journal and managed all facets of the department totaling to nearly $2 million in revenue annually. In addition, she facilitated executive relationship building across the region and managed the Portland Business Journal’s Bizwomen Coalition Committee, an executive group of women working to further the impact of female leadership in the local corporate landscape. Prior to the Portland Business Journal, Lexy was Project Manager for Recon Northwest. At Recon she managed multifaceted, high-level production for Nike including the launch of the Nike Apple Watch and facilitating Nike’s presence at the NCAA Lacrosse Championship, Olympic Trials, the Chicago Marathon and more. Lexy holds an Executive MBA from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Arizona graduating from the Eller College of Management. In her free time, she is a dedicated fitness instructor currently teaching at LA Fitness and Knot Springs.
