ABOUT ALEXIS WEBER
I am currently a student at the University at Albany SUNY pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Analytical Chemistry. I have a focus in analytical chemistry and I am looking to obtain a position as a Trace Evidence Analyst or a Forensic Chemist with a focus in analysis of controlled substances. For my Thesis research I am preforming a variety of analyses including FTIR and Raman Spectroscopy, UV/Vis Microspectrophotometery, and Polarized Light Microscopy. At the University of New Haven I also utilized instrumentation such as the XRD, GC-MS, and the GC-FID. At the University of Central Florida I was the President of the Forensic Science Association and worked with fellow club members to promote interest in forensic science by doing outreach events and club activities. Overall, I have a passion for forensic science both within the lab as well as promoting the growth of students interested in science.
