About Alexis Turner
As a student mentor at The Cities Project, I apply my knowledge of psychology to support and guide middle school students in the Englewood community in their personal development. I also serve as a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honor Society, where I engage with peers who share my passion for justice and law enforcement. Additionally, I am a cheerleading coach at various Chicago Public Schools, where I foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among young athletes. I also work as a camp coach at Fit City Kids ensuring a fun and safe camp experience for the children while ensuring we stay on schedule and on task. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a concentration in Race, Class, Gender, and Justice as well as a Bachelor Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services, and working to obtain a certificate in Trauma Psychology as well at DePaul University, expected to graduate in May 2027. I am eager to learn from diverse perspectives and experiences, and to contribute to the fields of criminal and juvenile justice as well as psychology.
