ABOUT ALEXIS PEDERSON
Alexis is head of legal coverage for the CIB Markets fixed income, currency, and commodity (FICC) businesses and manages a team of attorneys and paralegals. She has extensive experience in transactions across a variety of asset classes, including rates, equities, and credit derivatives, foreign exchange, structured notes, repo, and securities lending. Alexis and her team advise markets sales and trading desks on documentation, regulatory and other legal issues, such as the initial margin (IM) and variation margin (VM) requirements, the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and the Qualified Financial Contract (QFC) rules. Additionally, Alexis and her team provide considerable guidance to the documentation teams that negotiate trading agreements such as ISDA, MRA, GMRA, MSFTA, NAESB, and related contracts. Alexis takes a practical approach that considers business goals while mitigating risks related to regulatory compliance and documentation requirements. She is a problem solver with strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
